4 Steps To Ensure Your New Year’s Resolutions Stick

Well, here we go again…it’s that time of year when we begin planning out our New Year’s resolutions and how we will achieve those goals and objectives to make ourselves a better person.

In a normal year, the gyms would all be packed on January 4th, but within two weeks the crowds would taper off on Wednesdays and Thursdays—and by the start of February will be back to the normal level of committed and dedicated fitness buffs. (This year, that may be mostly relegated to your home gyms.)

So, how do we increase our chances of success in following through on our New Year’s resolutions and not end up fading out and accepting failure by February as so many others do?

Below are a few suggestions to not only help set yourself up for success, but ensure you remain on track and focused to be your best self in 2021!

1. Don’t set unrealistic goals. This is the easiest tip to perform, but also can be overlooked and can create burnout or frustration. Setting reasonable objectives will ensure you achieve them—and that you will not become overly burdened or pressured to the point of exhaustion (where you may not only fail to fully reach your goals but lose interest in them all together).

Schedule your goals for the long term; this will allow them to become easier to manage and increase your success rate. A good example is not setting …
