Artificial Intelligence Systems Are Going Mainstream...Are You Ready?

Artificial intelligence has been around for decades, but not until recently have all the elements come into alignment—thus allowing it to move into the early stages of mainstream application.

That is clearly supported by the current global market projections. In 2019, the global market for AI was valued at tens of billions of U.S. dollars. A double-digit compound annual growth rate is expected, with one estimate projecting that the AI CAGR could reach above 50% over the next several years. That same estimate places the global market value of AI in 2016 at just over $4 billion USD, and puts it at nearly $169.5 billion in 2025.

As is apparent by these figures, AI is moving into the mainstream—and at an accelerated pace!

Insight: A study by the management consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers estimates that AI will contribute $15.7 trillion USD to the global economy by 2030.

Organizations are crafting their strategy and tactics for the adoption, integration and use of AI in their operations, products and services. The strategy and tactics for leveraging AI is likely to become essential in the next few years.
