Don't Go 'Splat' in the Gene Pool!
Ever wonder why people do some of the really stupid things that they do? I would submit that it's due in no small part to a lack of knowledge. And while I'm sure you're familiar with at least some form of the expression "a little knowledge can be dangerous," for many people just a little more knowledge could make all the difference in the world.
With that thought in mind, let's take a look at some of the past nominees for the Darwin Awards--these stories and more information on them can be found at www.darwinawards.com--and see how a little knowledge management might have kept them from making a big "splat" in the gene pool.

In other words, the awards are bestowed (almost by definition posthumously) to people who do things so stupid that they kills themselves and thereby prevent themselves from producing any offspring who might further propagate what are obviously defective genes.
