AI in Project Management: The Upcoming Report and What’s Next
In 2020, the global pandemic triggered a digital upheaval for us all. Fast forward two years, coinciding with the Passion for Projects Congress, the PMI Sweden Chapter seized the opportunity to explore the pandemic's influence on AI adoption in project management. These efforts included an article focused on the pandemics’ effects on AI adoption, featuring AI at the Passion for Projects Congress, and conducting a survey in both 2022 and 2023 to explore the current and possible future state of AI in our work.
The findings of the 2022 survey, AI and Project Management, provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of AI integration in project management practices in Sweden. Subsequent developments in late 2022 made it necessary to conduct a follow-up survey, which we’re eager to release the findings of in mid-January of 2024. Once it’s released, you can find the full report on PMI’s AI resource hub.
This time around, the research project was expanded to include detailed demographics, extend the geographical scope, and pose deeper questions about AI maturity and insights. Respondents were also encouraged to share their experiences implementing AI. The goal was to gain a deeper understanding of the interest in this technology and where individuals and companies stand in the technology adoption curve.
