I suspect most here have not actually been a PM of a working Construction Project, my point being that a PM who is hiring is not interested in a Peer recommendation. He/She is looking for a verification of your skill set from (preferably) your PM boss.......
When I am in "recruiting" mode, I review CV's to examine history, and try to find the telephone number of a boss to verify the information provided. At that point, I interview the candidate to perform a "Head" check and ask very specific Skill check with test questions...
