Is there any connection between MBA studies and PMP studies. Is it recommendable? what are benefits? how these co-relate and how these differs?

I did my engineering degree than worked for a while and then did a MBA which enhanced my business capabilities. My PMP came after as my career path led me to leading large scale projects

I did my EMBA first and then completed PMP. There are few topics which are common between MBA and PMP. However , MBA is broad study and PMP is specific to Project Management.
MBA study has helped me to clear PMP
