Have anyone decoded “The Da Vinci Code” of Project Management Influence score ?

It’s a mysterious to figure out how the influence score increases and decreases
I have seen numbers of posts / questions / answers / connecting with people all these may impact the increase or may not then how about if you want to take a break, a vacation for few days what will happen if you stay away from login and participating. How many point per day you lose?
Someone may ask why would you care, It doesn’t matter if it increases or decreases, I guess it is more psychological for the efforts we put in.

Is the number of generating more traffic impact the influence score?

If you know the algorithm please share it.

I think it is a combination of everything and it has some ceiling of each type of activity.
Kevin, you're right but how it works I guess it is still mysterious, is it done by human or AI -----watch it on the weekend !

The algorithm takes in lots of factors. I had reached out before, and this was the response -

Influence is calculated based on over a hundred different factors, including interactions, participation, creation of content, reaction to content and of course, time. The data is compiled and processed and the results are then run against algorithms and plotted on a 100 point scale. What's more, the scoring is not on a linear scale. It's easier to move up dramatically in the lower scores, while climbing gets more difficult as you move into the higher ranks. And although it's not strictly a competition it is a fixed 1-100 scale so the actions of others and their influence affect your influence too

Andrew, thanks looks like you've got a big chunk of the code:)

I have noticed a few things.
- If you present a webinar you influence score shoots up.
- If you submit an article it also strongly affects your score.
- If you respond in the discussion area you score will slowly increase. It also seems to increase a little faster the higher you go.
- Your number of contacts has very little influence on your score after a certain point
- Your badges does not seem to have much of an influence.
- If you do not maintain your activity your score will begin to decrease.
- The commenting on discussions decreases the most if you stop commenting
- The webinars and articles will also decrease if you add nothing new, but this seems to take a long time.
Dinah, you are right but why we get penalized when we miss one day aren't PM human being aren't we suppose to work 40 hours a week, on your real working week you two days off why can't we take two days off here.

You just landed on a great example of "you get what you measure". :-)

lf everyone on here was trying to get (and maintain) a score, after a while nobody would ever take a break, in fear of someone getting ahead of them.... I'm pretty sure that isn't the intention, to have people slaving away, contributing every day, never taking a break, just for the sake of maintaining a score.

Fortunately, your "competitors" also take a break every now and then, so it balances out where you can take a break too, and everybody is still on an even playing field. :-)

The goal for me is simply to contribute where I feel I have something to add. The score is just an interesting side effect.

And many of it has to do with how long you’ve been an active member. The system evaluates at some point the contributions one does and I noticed it is done periodically.
Rami, thanks for your input so by saying the system do you refer to a machine doing calculation and monitoring or human being.

Sante, you are absolutely right, I guess me and you know how it feel, however looks like no one completely decoded the code:)
I don't think the creators even cracked the code. It's an algorithm with it's own mind with a couple of toggle switches to tweak certain individuals ;-)

That's true Sante, everything is going away from organic to more artificial, for example they're talking that you touch a hand of a woman on the screen and you get the same sensation and warm feeling, I don't buy that even with similar stimulation your inner mind wont accept the fact that this is the real
