With up to date numbers on PMI membership, certifications by discipline, chapter memberships, also by country, region, age, gender and various other demographics. Most of us look for this information every now and then. Saving Changes...
It would be interesting for them to make this data available via some sort of portal with multiple search/filter criteria- after all, so long as they don't include people's names or PMI member numbers, there's no privacy considerations to worry about...

Sure, but I think we're making an assumption here.

What assumption?

The only assumption I can come up with is that PMI would be willing to share this data :-)

The assumption is that PMI has this data. Since PMI chapters are not directly managed by PMI, there is no guarantee this information would be collected or maintained at the chapter level. Some chapters have their member count available, but some did not have or I simply could not find.
When looking at more granular details, past numbers and credential holders, there may possibly be the need for some type of consent or waiver clause required to share. (?)
But in considering the happy path, yes, statistics would be interesting to scan through.

Andrew -
All chapters have member data but there's no mandatory requirement for them to share any of their information on their websites. I remember when I was a board member more than a decade ago, we'd get a monthly extract from PMI with key info such as how many new members had joined and how many had not renewed.
