Dear Colleagues, thank you for all your posts!
I would like to through in a topic for discussion. What are 1-2 top issues that you are dealing with in project or program management work.
One of my biggest issues that I'm dealing with are gathering accurate requirements. I have a formal sign off process for the stakeholders to sign off on the requirements. As well as a formal change request process to make any changes to the approved requirements. And, still issues with requirements later in the project is a big issue for the project as a whole.
Another big issue is dealing with stakeholders conflicting priorities and making sure that my project is on the top of their lists. I provide multiple updates to the stakeholders during the meetings and via e-mail. I also emphasis a need for a project, e.g. millions in lost opportunity costs, $$ for future business opportunities and the likes.
What are your big issues? What are you doing to address them?
Best, Irene.

My two biggest challenges, and I have to mention that I work in Construction Projects and not IT, which could be different on some basis, is ensure scope is complete and avoid scope creep which is very easy in construction, since, while we are at site, why not doing it kind of thing.
The other major challenge is roles and responsibilities through the project life cycle, seems that there is lot of unknown and unclear responsibilities
Looking forward of other comments
