PMI Launched the Standard for Organizational Project Management (OPM) recently:

It seems very interesting. Do you believe a PMI-OPMP (Organizational Project Management Professional) certification will follow ? If so, are you with the idea ?

Thank you for sharing the link. OPMP certification will be worthwhile considering that many organizations undertake different projects and they need strategic direction.

Thanks for the head's up, Rami! I was one of the reviewers (page 61) and they didn't even tell me it had been released :-)

If you'll recall, when OPM3 was released by PMI many years back, they had a full certification program built around that for independent assessors and so on - not sure it ever real caught on...

That’s interesting Kiron, thanks for telling us. Great Job.

I think there should be a separate certification for OPM so maybe they are working on something. I am just speculating.

I don't believe so Rami. If you look at the OPM3, that kind of just died away, and as far as certifications go, I think it is kind of covered in their PgMP and PfMP isn't it?

I do not think so and if they are, not in details. The OPM can be a separate beast on its own.

I just saw on the front page. Interesting. While I don't expect a new certification path, I would not be surprised to see it happen.
