Should the PMI adopt belts like the six sigma belts?

I think it would be a good idea. Step certifications would lead to a Grand Master certification.

I don't think the the PMI will do this, but I'm interested in everyone's feedback.

I just applied for the CAPM exam & you're the second person flaming it today.

Is there an issue with this certification??

Anyway, this is probably the white belt :)

Julien, proposing a question isn't flaming. Sometimes we (certainly I) like to extract differing opinions on a topic; even provoke debate. My previous CAPM post included the comment "I am all for the CAPM by the way" because I anticipated some people might feel I was "flaming" the certification. There is no issue with the certification, and it is a good stepping stone for the PMP. I am however flaming the belt system as I am against hierarchy of any kind, so when I see Agile (which is against the principles of hierarchy and class systems) certifications with a belt system, it pinches a nerve, even if in reality we have to deal with it.
