I need some advise with regards to the PMI-PBA Exam:

1- What is a good online course (Self-Paced) to get the 35 PDU's required for the application ?
2- What is the best source of simulation exams ?
3- What is the recommended study material ? Are the following PMI resources enough:
- PMI Guide for BA
- PMI Business Analysis for Practitioners
- PMI Requirements gathering guide

I do appreciate your advise and assistance - Thanks

1- In our line of business as Project Management & Business Development Consultants we do lots of Business Analysis work (This is one of our primary focus tasks) so the company actually supports this type of professional development.

2- Despite the fact that IIBA's CBAP is well established, after looking into both, I found that PMI-PBA is an adequate certificate and provides suffcient knowledge for what we do. Other things considered:

- I am not a member of IIBA and for non-members the exam is more expensive.
- I'd rather continue doing such high level certifications with one certification body and so far I am comfortable with PMI's certifications especially that they are highly and globally accepted / recognized.

Hope this makes sense.
I like the criteria on membership of IIBA, I have it in my evaluation also.

Still, puzzle about the value of IIBA CBAP vs the PMI PBA!

"Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly 98 million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea..."
