Blogging pet peeves 🙀 what are they?

I had a friendly discussion yesterday with someone who mentioned that whenever he sees a blog that starts with a number (like 3 easy steps to ..... ) he gets annoyed, closes the browser window and moves on to do something else. I don't agree with him personally, but as someone who likes to write I would love to know what annoys my readers to do less of it (or maybe none of it). For all of the bloggers and readers in this community, do you have any blogging pet peeves?

Sante-

I know you are a great blogger. How do I know you ask? For me, humor is the antidote to all my pet peeves, and you are good at it 😉
Thanks Farouq :-)

I shut down the written blog several years ago, but this is my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/IVBsHomeAutomation

This might be interesting for those starting out: A walkthrough of my architecture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9tYT0EO-Nk&t=25s

How home automation is much more than using an echo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfOfMEiShT8

10 things I can do with my Echo that you can't: (And don't worry Sante, they are actually on topic :-) ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umRYxHbcQrA

bunch of others, but those are the basic ones.
That's heavy stuff Vivek. I have trouble turning the light switch on.

Very long long long articles. Try to get to the point without writing a short story. In some cases the article will be long, but keeping it to the point is what I prefer.
Thank you Drake

How do you find Grammarly Joshua? I have really bad spelling/grammar so I'm thinking it will help me in my university studies.
I just use the free version as well. It seems to do a good job. It also can be added to everything I type online. For example - grammerly doesn't like that I spelled its name wrong in this sentence and it is alerting me to the issue with an angry red underline and a red circle with a 1 in the corner.

It does miss some things, and some things I know it is not right about. It still helps.

Not that there is anything wrong with listicles, but I think the ones that have farfetched claims or salacious titles are pet peeves and I tend to avoid those blog posts. In the B2B or project management space, however, I rarely see any blog posts that are have annoying headlines.

I agree with you. I must say that in B2B the majority of blog posts tend to be "authority" pieces that are very thorough and deliver on their promises.
