Dinah, you are absolutely right, we are just trying by hit and miss trying to figure out all features, as I was thinking about this button to click on vote so need to know what will happen when we accumulate more, let hit the button and see, thanks for your supportive contributions

I suspect the vote button does nothing. We can not see that we are accumulating votes.

I think the vote button might have a slight impact on influence. I assume if a post gets a certain number of votes, it becomes a pinned post because we signalled its importance to new community members.
