I suspect the vote button does nothing. We can not see that we are accumulating votes.
I think the vote button might have a slight impact on influence. I assume if a post gets a certain number of votes, it becomes a pinned post because we signalled its importance to new community members. Saving Changes...
Farouq, yes I think there must have some impact but how much and how that we don't know we are trying to figure out how to take advantage of that feature Saving Changes...
The one thing missing from this site is instructions explain what each of the feature means, information about badges and explanations about the influence.
Sante, is this an assumption, we really need to make sure what is the effect how it effect or even better we need to know all 5W2H related

All we have Riyadh when it comes to the crazy algorithm is assumptions, since no one gets back to us on specific questions like my toggle theory, or why people with say 25 influence and 2 contributions are in the banner of heads, or how some people's network grows in almost identical numbers to new members (another toggle theory but for network growth), and so forth. I'm not sure many people use votes, do they?
