When we think about communication, most of us think about spoken (verbal) or written communication. I wonder how important nonverbal communication is for you. Saving Changes...

I realize best to understand both body and facial, but if to pick one specifically to learn more about, it would be reading and understanding facial expressions. Body language I have a sense for already, enough to get by maybe, but I would find it interesting for sure to learn more on the topic of facial instructions. There was a T.V. drama about that - "Lie To Me" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235099/). It was pretty good.
If I understand correctly what you mean, you are talking about micro expressions. I only teach that as part of my advanced lessons. "Lie to me" was a great show for sure, only season 1 was based on science though.

Correct. Do you teach as part of your role, or as a second profession? Either way, very cool.
Interesting fact about the show. I wasn't aware of that.

YES, because we, PM, do communication for most of our time.
Of course I'm not considering the case of leading a project only via phone (which is possible).

I don't think that we need to "master it", but understanding cultural differences is key.
Good point! Thank you for the feedback! Saving Changes...

Generally speaking non-verbal communication is a significant contributor when we need to pass on the message to the ppl/group we are interacting with. As a project manager I have encountered situations when you need to speak to set of ppl from diverse geography, age, language etc. and in these situations a good non-verbal communication skill and understanding of others' non-verbal clues gives an edge to you.

Well mastering may be a bit far fetched but this is an important aspect for sure. Our words take more importance and are more likely to be admissible when delivered with proper body language. We should be able convey in a confident manner at the minimum.

Good point! We can use body language to help us say what we want to say, and to help us understand what others are saying.
