When we think about communication, most of us think about spoken (verbal) or written communication. I wonder how important nonverbal communication is for you.

Generally speaking non-verbal communication is a significant contributor when we need to pass on the message to the ppl/group we are interacting with. As a project manager I have encountered situations when you need to speak to set of ppl from diverse geography, age, language etc. and in these situations a good non-verbal communication skill and understanding of others' non-verbal clues gives an edge to you.
Thank you for sharing your experience! Very informative indeed.

Well mastering may be a bit far fetched but this is an important aspect for sure. Our words take more importance and are more likely to be admissible when delivered with proper body language. We should be able convey in a confident manner at the minimum.
Good point! We can use body language to help us say what we want to say, and to help us understand what others are saying.

Super important! Joe Navarro, ex-FBI agent has easy, helpful body language advice via books, YouTube, etc. He took Paul Eckman's research and normalized in to plain language.

Non-verbal communication is equally important as verbal and written.
It brings an element of attachment in communication.
The non-verbal channel of seeing and feeling allows our brain to understand better of the emotions and directions of the communicator.
