I'm currently pursuing my PhD with focus on information systems project success and complexity. I'm looking for guidance on using this platform as a means to gather data using an online questionnaire.

Can anyone assist or point me in a new direction?

You could create Polls for gathering information based on specific responses or write down the Questions here as Discussions to obtain detailed responses from the community.

There are several means to collect data. Along with polling, a possible means to elicit conversations is through the discussion medium for collecting data. I have seen others also post links to google forms or survey monkey for completing questionnaires. Though, check the policies of the site to ensure compliance when posting links (https://www.projectmanagement.com/blog-pos...Been-Updated-). Any questions direct them to the community managers.

Polls is effective. You may also make your searches more target specific when you use the search bar. For example, you may search for people who are related to information systems and question them personally. You may search content as regards to this too and you will get tonnes of information which you may narrow down to feed your quest.

Polls are a great way to get some initial data. you could also reach out to people here and on LinkedIn for some 1:1 or focus group interviews.
