Hi there!

I'm currently a certified ACP and am looking to obtain my CAPM. My company is currently doing an analysis into the agile transformation, but are still currently using traditional project management. Is there any guidance, or tips and tricks, that anyone has to help guide and steer me in the right direction? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Neil

They say the CAPM is a good stepping stone to the PMP so give it a go.
Thank you!

Neil,

Kiron's advise is a good one but since you do not qualify yet then CAPM is a good start or you can look at obtaining a Professional Scrum Master certification from scrum.org.

On the other hand, there is another good Agile certificate called AgilePM, administered by APMG.

If it was me, I would do the PMI-RMP as risk management is very important be it in the traditional or agile environments.

Good Luck !
Hi Rami,

Thank you for your message. I haven't heard of APMG, but I will definitely take a look.

I've also looked at the RMP, as that can be used almost anywhere. I just don't the risk management qualifications yet, but something I can look into more.

Thank you!

APMG administer different certifications for different organizations just like Proctor Centers, in a way.

AgilePM is a good certificate for you I believe considering the chane going on within your organization.

Basis your requirements and comments by the esteemed colleagues above, I would still recommend you pursue your CAPM. You can always take a call for PMP or other certifications later.
Good luck!!
Thank you!
