This community is growing bigger and some were part of it since the start. As a member of this community, what changes and/or additions would you like to see happen on this platform ?

Based on the comments here, we will gather and compile all comments in a list and send it to the concerned from PMI for consideration.

If Network is to be highlighted in avatar next to posts, also place Discussion posts and influence rating
Show when a member joined in profile
Show when a member was last active
Push content over forcing members to pull, i.e., show me, send me
Notification options email or having a true inbox in the site
Choose how to receive notifications, individually, daily summary, weekly summary, none
Rich Text Editor (RTE) for comments
Ability to search within your own past contributions inside your profile

Realistically, the platform itself needs to be modernized. That exercise in itself, honestly, will automatically take care of the majority of our recommendations.
Great suggestions Andrew and yes, the site needs to be modernized big time. We havent seen any significant changes really. Even the badges were never updated.

Need to make it easier for people to search existing posts before posting a question. There are many repeat questions in the forums. Either need more relevant categories of Communities or a feature where, as a person types in a question, the system shows snippets from existing posts that might answer the person's question. This is a common feature in most IT devops websites
I fully agree with you, we need for example a category for Certifications so anyone can easily be guided there.

Yes. Instead of having one big discussion board, maybe it can be broken up into multiple groupings of discussion. For example, PDU questions come up regularly. They are often asking the same questions. And a board focusing on exam questions.

I will second Sromon's suggestion about intelligent prompting to reduce the volume of duplicate queries.

I'd add:

1. Having the banner headshots be based on influence points, number of connections, number of contributions or some other meaningful metric

2. Providing webinar contributors with the ability to unsubscribe from notifications about their on-demand webinars

Kiron
Good Points Kiron and yes, I agree, there should be more transparency in the way influenece and headshots are displayed.

Rami -

Nothing new from me. I would like to see features for :

1. Enabling edit for blogs & articles
2. Like or dislike a post in addition to rating
3. To view who voted for our comments
Agreed Girija except I am a bit hesitant about the dislike in item 2 like I mentioned to Sante earlier.

Yes, agreed Rami. 'Dislike' might create some hard feelings. But dislike can be enabled without showing the member details. Having 'Dislike' will enable everyone to provide their true feedback and will be helpful for writing better articles in future.

I agree with everything posted so far.

I would also like to have better management of our network. I would like the ability to filter, sort, search my network.
Fully agree especially when someone has a large network, it is good to have the ability to filter for example who from your network is in your city, or in your chapter.

Good one. I'd love to be able to sort my network by Continent, Country, City, Industry and Job Title. If, for example, I'm traveling in Singapore and I can easily see that someone in my network lives there, I'd probably arrange to meet with them.

1. The ability to block a member, and not receive any of the email notifications they post in a thread, blog or article that we are also subscribed to.
2. The ability to like and dislike a post, rather than just a vote or rating.
I would prefer to keep the rating. Make adjustments to the rating for something like
1 - Disagree
2 - Partly disagree
3 - Neutral
4 - Agree
5 - Strongly agree
and a graph of the response

Rami,

Here a few suggestions
- Why not have the notification in the inbox on ProjectManagement.com?
- Invitation to connect should be valid for a fixed time.
- Option to "Follow" to get a notification of publication
- A post should force to have topics, limit of three is low.
- Filter, sort, search our network should be improved
- Rating should indicate the number of evaluation
- A template should be dated, it is not possible to see added templates since a date

agree with most suggestions
