The way I prepped for my PMP, which would be similar as for a CAPM, I purchases a study guide (Rita Mulcahy's), found a study buddy and went through each chapter together, then I started taking mock quizzes, then I took a "boot camp" course, scheduled my test for about 4 weeks after and did mock exams for that entire 4 weeks.

Every one preps differently. I knew I needed in person training over online for this test. I also new having the knowledge was only part of the solution. Knowing how to take this test was another part of it. That information I got from the class and the practice exams. Remember, if the study process you are following does not feel right, switch paths and try something different.

When I did the ACP and RMP, it was different. I used all online resources. I already knew how to take PMI tests at that point. And I already had the confidence from passing the PMP. When I started the RMP, I bought a study guide. I was just not feeling confident with that guide so I bought another and kind of restarted the process.

Now, one of the big things you can find right here is support. If you are struggling with a concept or that one practice exam question just does not make sense to you, ask us. We love to help others.

As others have stated there are downloadable books and of course many, many webinars. I have watched many of them. Search them for ideas you want to focus on. Say you want to learn more about Risk, just search for webinars on risk. I don't think you will find one on everything you need to know. You will need to go at it in pieces.

Good Luck

Thanks for those who answered to Kavita and thanks Kavita for asking this question, I may be on the same level with as about PMI, I also have started reading PMBOK 6th edition, and some other material as suggested by Rami and others. As they are sharing their experience, let's try it out and I hope we will pass

Thank you Rami and Tamer for replying.

Please lemme know if you have any webinar or any book in your mind that i should read or watch to begin with. Although I am aware of PMBOK and started reading it as well.

Also should i take any classroom training for CAPM preparation? (is it worth paying for?)

P.S : I don't have any experience as a Project manager but i have worked in couple of projects as an Analyst.
You are welcome Kavita.

If you have no project management experience then it is best if you take an in-class course with a reputable education provider. This is a great start ... Going through the PMBOK as a start without having experience is not advisable as you will find it very complex.

Following the course, I suggest you buy Rita Mulcahy Exam Prep Book for CAPM from RMc Website. This is a great reference and then following that you read the PMBOK and I am sure you will find it smoother.

Good Luck.
