I don't know about others, but for me just the chance to practice Project Management again is exciting me. I was out of work for over two years, and until recently I was working as an entry-level Service Desk analyst. Thankfully, my supervisor, along with the Director of the Service Desk were aware of my background and experience and recommended me for the opportunity that I have recently started. This opportunity is allowing me to work in more of an Agile environment and gives me the chance to apply my Agile training to real-life situations.

Congrats on getting back into project management, Glenn! Would love to hear how things are going for you as you apply your Agile knowledge to your daily job. Feel free to come back and share some lessons learned in a new thread so others can learn from you. And best of luck!
The ability to perform and deliver some thing of value is very exciting and fulfilling for me. However, that product / service / result of value is dictated by organizational needs. As long as surrounding environment/ culture is manageable, I'm enjoy my role.
For unmanageable environments, you can always change your organization. Life is too short to suffer in unfavorable circumstances. The continuous learning /upgrading skill-set is part of this equation.

Culture is such an important piece of feeling excited about your work, isn't it? You can love what you do, but if the culture of where you are isn't conducive to you doing your best work, it can make work that you love to do less enjoyable. Thanks Ashok!

This is awesome, Kiron. It has it's challenges, I'm sure, but once you see people start to understand and then get excited about what's next, I bet there's nothing like it! Thanks for sharing!
