Hello Community,

in the Plan Scope Management Process we develop a Scope Management Plan, right?
And one of the topics in that Scope Management Plan should be the description of the process on how to prepare the detailed Project Scope Statement.

Can someone provide one (or more) examples of such a process description? I have done a little research already, but can't find much input for these. Real-Life examples preferred!
Thanks in advance.

Markus

PS: Just for clarification: That question is NOT about what should be described in the Project Scope Statement. There is a TON of information and samples about that out there.
The question is about the first bullet point in 5.1.3.1 at pg. 137 in the PMBoK Guide. ;)

For most of the projects I've worked on, this involved the sponsor and key leads getting together with the PM who facilitated the discussion and development of the scope statement. So basically, leveraging expert judgment & meetings :-)

That would be the who, what, how, when, where etc in preparation for writing the project scope statement. Who do you need to meet, what needs to be discussed, what needs to be included in the document, where to meet these people, when to meet them. It's the process of facilitation between people and events toward the production of a project scope statement.
