Hi everyone, don't know if this is an impertinent question here but wanted to ask. For those PM professionals that are doing teaching, coaching, speaking, etc. do you still keep your day jobs? Do these allow you to make a living?

@Deepa Kalangi: It is certainly a relevant question. I have been doing this for quite a long time. Was also able to publish the global project solutions book, "Say YES to Project Success" and be able to contribute to the new leadership book, "Transform your Leadership" while continuing to run my P3M Best Practices firm, KeyResultz. It requires a lot of passion and very hard work, but is definitely doable!
I did the switch to teaching last year and have taken on a separate consulting contract to keep myself sufficiently busy. In my case, I'm teaching for a "for profit" PM training company so things like reduced training budgets and lots of competitors can be a challenge. For those who are teaching in colleges or universities, they shouldn't need to supplement this with other gigs.

Hi Kiron, I did see your website and read most of your posts. Thank you for the response. I like to teach, so just wondering how to make that transition or if it need supplement income as well. I do teach now, but not full-time as yet.
