The industry is also a factor. The Information Technology (IT) industry is very male-dominated (at least in the States) and can be highly ego-driven. In the worst case you have organization filled with Engineers and Developers each trying to prove that their solution is the best. This makes it very easy for misogyny to remain entrenched in these organizations, as it can be attributed to the egoism common to the industry. Female PMs (especially non-technical PMs) in these organizations might find themselves in constant arguments with male team members who rationalize their misogyny by telling themselves their technical knowledge qualifies them to make better project management decisions than their non-technical female PM.
