@Michelle Venezia: Thank you very much for sharing your rewarding experience with volunteering with PMI. If you haven't already considered it, I highly recommend that you look at pursuing PMI's Leadership Institute Master Class (LIMC).
My experience volunteering with PMI has also been very satisfying. Starting with the PMI Chennai Chapter, I went from volunteer to President, and later served on the the Chapter Excellence Awards Committee. I worked with passionate volunteers as part of the Community Manager group for PMI's LinkedIn group and now serve on the Ethics MAG.
As you rightly said, volunteering has given me as much, if not more than what I put into it. Saving Changes...
