In the new Agile world where change is rapid and constant is it worth to study for a tertiary degree? if continuous learning and up-skill as part of your job and 3-5 years make a huge difference in the market, by the time you finish Uni most of the staff that you learned may be outdated, especially the one technology related.

In the agile world experimentation and continous learning is an integral part of the project work. In this respect, at least a reasonable part of needed education comes along as you proceed in the project.

Thank you Peter. My view is that you need to build the a foundation of knowledge to have a better understanding of Agile. One big deficiency of some Agile practitioners is that they keep rediscovering the wheel.
Kanban, Lean, TOC, servant Leader, Team Dynamics are not new concepts.
I believe that any manager, PMs Included, must have a solid knowledge of finance and statistics, two of the weak areas of Scrum Masters.
