RMP before PMP

Hi,

For some reason I have to take RMP course/exam before PMP so I need your advice and Is it acceptable by PMI?

As far as I know, there should be no reason you couldn't do this. Once you pass the RMP exam, you can then apply some of the formal training hours for your PMP exam as PDUs for the RMP recertification.

PMI doesn't constrain the order of certifications from my understanding.

I agree with Kiron and Sante. I see some people for examle having PMI-PBA without being PMP's.

Sure, even because you work as risk manager in a company or a project, you can decide only have PMI-RMP.
