We are already using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in some form or another - Using virtual home assistants, intelligent chat bots, predictive product suggestions or spam filters, we’ve most probably experienced the benefit of AI.
Starting a chat to get help, or asking a question is very tempting and sometimes very much needed. Would you abort the chat abruptly if you find you are communicating with a bot/machine? Or would you extend a courteous apology before you close the chat? Do we “respect” machines like human beings? And do we need to? Saving Changes...

Dearest. I know of a person (neuroscientist) who lives in the US and has been working on this artificial intelligence project for over 20 years.
There are some books written among them: - Descartes' Error: Emotion, Reason and the Human Brain - The Feeling Of What Happens: Body, Emotion and The Making of Consciousness - The Strange Order Of Things: Life, Feeling And The Making Of Cultures
The projects are related to emotions in AI

This is a very good question that can potentially be used to study the behaviour of human beings' attitude towards Robots. In my opinion, I would value the responses or answers I derive out of the chat - for instance, if I receive quality answers that meet my requirements / demands, then I would use it - be it human or bot. However, if it is not worth my time & money, I wouldn't spend any more - be it human or bot.

Interesting question Alankar! I can think of a couple of perspectives here. First, being respectful to a bot is training to being respectful to all. It is all too often that people don’t respect people. Let’s start there. My second point is that as bots get starter, How can you tell it is a bot? Maybe you really are talking with a human... so be respectful.
With that being said, sometimes bots are not answering my questions so I get frustrated and keep yelling “real person, real person!” And I probably didn’t say please or thank you Saving Changes...

We are using AI lot of time before chats. For example, AI is inside the refrigetors that are using fuzzy logic from long time ago. About chats and bots they are not using AI in most of the case. The situation were you interact with an assisstant that not mean it is using AI to interact with you. But what you stated is a question that "ancient" man like me that are working and researching with AI from 1986 has debated from long time. In fact, from 1950 up to date. You can find interesting answers inside Alan Turing, Von Neumann, Godel or more recently Roger Penrose just to cited some key persons on the matter. Saving Changes...
