Three questions:

1. Does the decision fit within my personal code of ethics?
2. Does the decision comply with the company's code of ethics?
3. Does the decision fit PMI's (or whichever professional association you affiliate with) code of ethics?

If the answer to all three is "Yes" then proceed with a clear conscience.

Thanks Kiron, for your reply.
I like the questions and I like also the sequence because it comes from inside out not the opposite direction.
Thanks

Great answer for the path to making an ethical decision. I might reorder #2 and #3, as I feel that many professional organizations have a much more strict code of ethics than do many companies.
