Great presentation and insights shared in this presentation.

Powerful use of creating advocates & mentors/coaches for ensuring the project success, as well as the development of the project manager.

I must agree with you here, as this has been the most helpful relationship tool for facilitating growth, development and vital channels for team or the PM's success!

As I mentioned in my private reply to you, the most impactful strategy in my entire webinar series of 8, is to find a senior and influential mentor and advocate.
I would not have achieved what I have in my career if it were not for my mentor and advocate at Accenture.

Hi Uri, thank you for the meeting series. I joined the first two scheduled meetings and oh my they were really good with excellent content. It seems like you are the voice for a lot of project managers experiencing something similar in their workplace. Thanks Uri for another great webinar on Project Leadership. Just on question relating to the webinar. Is leadership a skill that you can learn or is it something that comes natural to some of us?
Yes I would agreed. I feel that leadership requires some underlying characteristic that we can develop and incrementally improve our leadership skills. I have seen people who were very shy, unassuming and compliant become very good leaders in their own right when given the right guidance and mentorship.

The fourth one was great, Uri, congratulations! Thank you for sharing your profound knowledge. It covers all aspects of comprehensive planning systematically. I have two sets of questions:
1. How did you define the limit of 80% confidence level to raise the red flag? How can we measure the confidence level?
2. Yes, we are optimistic. There would be no project managers without implanted optimism. I am the first one who is making wrong assumptions all the time. I am guided by the need to get the project, to inspire myself to do things more productively, to avoid procrastination, and to motivate the team to be more productive. What are the techniques to improve me in this matter? From your experience, can you set the general limit of optimism (for example, we underestimate by 20%), or is it entirely individual? Can you propose literature or guidelines on how to facilitate and provide realistic estimation?

Hi Uri, thanks for sharing your experience and insight. Hopefully you still watch this discussion from time to time. I just finished the 4th session and have been contemplating my own responses to your poll questions.

I agree with your/industry's assessment of the highest risk factors so far (accountable executives, solid leadership team, clear objectives), and to your prompts, I think the primary reason why these are so risky/prone to failure is because decisions are made so early--usually from a place of ignorance. In your 3rd presentation you acknowledged this but said you still believe it is important to define objectives and scope as early as possible. You also advocated for progressive elaboration of scope.

I think there is a tension (perhaps necessary) between scope, which drives resource planning, and risk, which accommodates the unknown. The only thing I can think of to work through this is something I might call progressive decision-making, where leadership can decide to change or discontinue work before the risk profile overtakes the payoff, but in my experience this fails because of the fallacy of sunk cost. Do you have any thoughts or models for elaboration that could be applied to something like a government regulation project, where both scope and constraints are defined by an external agent?
