Hello to all
Could you share thoughts regarding the benefits
Of implementing Iso 9001 , for management of projects,
In a company with engineering and construction.
What benefits are expected when an Iso 9001 is added in a company in the management of projects.
Currently in the company there is not an iso implemented (9001 nor 10006)
Only traditional practices based on pmbok are followed.
We are not sure if an iso implementation will improve our job.
Could someone share ideas on this, maybe a PPT presentation or something
Related?.
Our company design and install steam generator plants, and has 200 employees.
Hope you can help me

It is best practice for organizations to operate a quality management system. (Quality Manual) which is bench marked to globally recognized standards such as ISO 9001 Quality,ISO 14001 Environment, & ISO45001.HSE
Key benefits is that it will build customer confidence and ensure that applicable statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements are met to achieve specified objectives. These objectives are strategic in nature on which the corporate governance or operational frame work is based. The PMBOK Guide is tilted towards project management. Saving Changes...
Hi Tomás, ISO 9001: 2015 is the most recognized of all ISO standards as it establishes the requirements of a company's quality management system. If your company wants to be certified under the ISO 9001 standard to improve its internal processes or by requirement to participate in certain bidding processes in your country, I believe that this last reason is what moves companies to become certified under ISO 9000 in most of the cases. If your company currently works under the PMBOK methodology, they have more than 50% of the path gained to adapt their processes to the new ISO standard, since the latest ISO update is very focused on the company's project management and in many areas it is very similar to PMBOK. For example, aspects related to risk management, communications and knowledge transfer. There are many advantages as a professional working under ISO 9000 and much more if you are part of the certification process and can give your input as PM. I encourage you to read the ISO 9001:2015 standard and realize for yourself. Saving Changes...
Ok, but what are the key issues to consider the 9001 or 10006 implementation.
I mean, what specific advantages I would have having 9001 or 10006 plus
PMBOK practices?.
Thanks Emyra
Maybe I didn´t explain my doubts.
If we only have PMBOK in our company, What benefits I may expect by adding 9001 and or 10006, or 21500 into our company?

No matter the quality system you like to implement you have to justify it because a strategical decision. I mean, if to implement it will give the organization a better position to get oportunities then do it. If not, forget about it. It is a cost-benefit relation. Saving Changes...
Thanks
My doubt persist, the point is:
I know that any system implementation has to be supported, that is why
I´m questioning.
Specifically,
what are the real technical advantages in implementing ISO 9001 in a company following only PMBOK practices, at this time is not implemented 9001,10006 nor 21500 standards.
