We get a pin when we make PMP? I just obtained my last month, have yet to receive my paper certificate (they mailed it to me when I had CAPM), let alone a pin. :O

Would be nice though.

Dear Jonathan
Thank you for your participation in this reflection and for your comment

I believe PMI has stopped providing the physical PIN
Now are badges

Luis set you up perfectly, Jonathan. You have to say the line. (You look too young to remember the Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Perhaps you saw and remember Blazzing Saddles?)

Haha,an intresting question! In fact ,I have never had the chance to use it ,and I even don't know what it can be used.If it is some kind of shield instead of pin that can be displayed ,it will be much more uesful to me.

I know this is an old thread, but I use mine all the time and I am very disappointed that they are no longer available. I wear mine on my suit coat or sports jacket regularly in rotation with a few other pins I am very proud to have earned over the years (ITIL, Honor Societies, School Pins, and even my FFA pin from High School). Very very disappointed to hear they are no longer available.

Dear Michael
I also use mine very often
You can see it in my profile photo :-)
I was also surprised that PMI discontinued the pin
Now, what is in fashion, are the badges

I received it after passing my PMP exam 2011. However, I use my pin to project related meetings, and it reminded me of the effort in earning the certification.

I wear mine in rotation with several others I have earned from other societies/organizations over the years such as honor societies, college, high school, ITIL, etc.... Like you said, they each, especially the PMP and honor society pins, remind me of the work and commitment I put into earning those achievements and are all things I am very proud of.
