I am interested in chatting to PM's that have had exposure to implementing cybersecurity projects in a global mining/resource environment.

Hi Anthony , what difference are you expecting in implementation of Cyber Security in Mining vs other environments? Relating to tools? processes or Strategy?
I am implementing Cyber Security in Healthcare/Non-Profit / Medical type sector . How would it be different for me if I ran the same project in a Mining environment?

Hi Deepesh, there is a difference. I worked in healthcare for 15 years. The biggest threat I recall was guarding patient information. Even as EMRs captured patient relevant data (for care) the nurses and care staff always had backup information that could be transition to paper quickly. In mining security (in my view plays a big role in threats to operations as mining is a 7 X 24 hour operation. Literately, pulling money from the ground i.e. gold copper and moly. The cost or capital to mine requires 7 X 24 operations moving the ore. just one persons view. the machinery in today's mining is so sophisticated (technology) that any threat to the networks and equipment would be costly
