PMI, and ProjectManagement.com, introduced a new logo at the PMI Global Conference this weekend. What was wrong with the old design? It was a solid standard and easily recognizable.
I am not a fan of the new logo, (yet) but I could warm up to it. So I ask you, the community, to help sell me on this change.
What are your thoughts on the re-design? Saving Changes...
Hi David,
I like the colors but I believe it is not easy to understand that those figures are letters (except the P of course).

You have enlightened me; I didn't recognize the "M" at all. I thought it was just a symbol.

It caught me off guard. I haven't taken the time to discover what everything means. More to come... Saving Changes...

Dear David
It seems that everything was done more or less in the secret of the gods.
We are all waiting for you to tell us the story of PMI repositioning and, consequently, rebranding
It may be that next PMI Today tells us this story.
Note: Symbols also have a meaning. Saving Changes...

Hi David -
Glad to see you here again. Definitely the brand update is a hot topic now, but there is a running thread already in full action here. I'll share the link below.
Best we try to keep things tidy. If possible, maybe the moderators can merge the threads. Else, we should close this and keep as much continuity as possible.

Hi. I support Alicia Arias opinion, although the colors and look is more modern it is less understandable/clear at first sight.

For me Is too colorful, I prefer the old one.
My local chapter (Central Italy) also change his logo in accordance (just replace the oblique purple/white stripes with the Colosseum).
The important thing is that it is used worldwide to avoid misunderstanding. Saving Changes...

No offence, but don't it look too cheerful, bright & colorful like that of some kind of Food chain. I mean using Orange & Purple in a Logo of PMI, Seriously. Saving Changes...
