A new PMI branding.. Are you in favor of the new logo?

PMI, and ProjectManagement.com, introduced a new logo at the PMI Global Conference this weekend. What was wrong with the old design? It was a solid standard and easily recognizable.

I am not a fan of the new logo, (yet) but I could warm up to it. So I ask you, the community, to help sell me on this change.

What are your thoughts on the re-design?

I personally like the rebranding and the “we are not the PMI of the past” statement it makes. As @Stephane alluded to; what better way to get everyone curious about “how PMI is evolving” to keep in step with “how our work is evolving” (phrasing from the ‘Project Economy’ write-up).

Also, look at your local PMI chapters; many have already leveraged the new branding and supplemented their local identity into the lower-right quadrant of the primary logo (e.g. the Chicagoland chapter).
