Value in EVM is basically the expenditure, based on the assumption that what we spend become an asset for the client.
In Agile "our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software."
What means "valuable" from the EVM perspective? is the traditional EVM still relevant?

@sergio. what are the units that you use? Money, story points, something else?
the units required by the evm method. If you use other thing then you are not using evm method

While I would agree that work completed does not equal value delivered, EVM can be more reflective of "real value" in projects following an adaptive lifecycle if the backlog of work is being effectively prioritized with business value as one of the key contributors to priority.

For mature teams which have evolved from relative sizing of work items to splitting their work items small enough such that each is roughly the same size, one could start to trust the metrics more based on number of work items completed relative to expectations, and the cost of completing those work items.

In hybrid projects, the EVM technique can be used in my opinion, I am new to agile approaches, so I try to maintain that hybrid approach and it has given me good results.
