I'd say this is similar to Daniel Simons famous selective attention test with the gorilla.
I was so focused on the change in the colors of the site and the new logo that I completely missed the fact that the headshots have been eliminated from the banner!
How about you - did you notice they were gone? Saving Changes...

I did notice, given that I am active here on daily basis but there are other things that also were missing. I raised some of the items to PMI via an email and they were fixed but never raised the issue of the headshots to them as I would assume this was done intentionally as part of the website update.
The other thing that I noticed was updated are the PMChallenge Questions. Have you noticed ?

Dear Rami
I had not realized the changes in the questions.
Are they more aligned with PMBOK Guide 6th Edition?
Thank you for alerting me to this.

Luis: That is correct, under each question you will see the answer that refers to the 6th Edition of the PMBOK.

That's odd - I just answered a few questions and got the following references:

That is very odd. I just answered a few as well again of which some gave reference to PMBOK 6th Edition, others gave reference to Agile alone (Which was never there before) and a few gave reference to the 5th Edition. Look like its a mix and they are in the process of updating all questions.

I noticed the changes right away. The site isn't dark like it was before. I'm still navigating my way through here post changes.
I'll have to check the PM Challenge questions and see what's up with those. I still need to achieve the Guru badge. Saving Changes...

I didn't notice the headshots disappeared until you mentioned them. I usually overlooked them when visiting the site, though. Saving Changes...

Yep, noticed they were not part of the go-forward strategy :) maybe there is an effort to determine new criteria. Only time will tell. I don't have any particular affinity either way.
As an aside; wonder if there is an official changelog available anywhere? I'd actually find that an interesting read. Saving Changes...

Nope did not notice until you asked. What were the purpose of those in any case? Must say I like the new look. Saving Changes...
