Team building is very important. Join your local PMI Chapter and attend events and reach out to project managers on LinkedIn I find this very helpful. I'm building a team of experts from my alumni at Colorado Technical University of project managers, HR managers, Cybersecurity, Aviation Quality Control managers and IT managers collectively building a consulting business. There is a vast of opportunities the more you connect with other professionals and scholars before you know it you have build your team! I hope this was helpful. Saving Changes...

Dear Stav Interesting question that brought to reflection Thanks for sharing
Your question may have multiple answers. Situation 1: Create a new one (recruit and integrate everyone into the team) Situation 2: Integrate new people into an existing team
Either way, you can get some insights from the knowledge area: "Procurement Management" from the PMBOK Guide, with particular reference to "Planning Procurement" and "Conducting Procurement".
Linkedin, Chapter and community (s) of project managers are sources, as are universities.
Remember to think about what roles and / or activities people will develop and the profile (technical and behavioral) to perform those activities. And of course the criteria you will use in recruiting and selecting
It is comparable to the statement of work (roles and profile) and criteria for selecting sources
Of course, there are other things to keep in mind. It occurred to me: - Company and project integration - Creation of team spirit Saving Changes...

The meaning of Team building has changed drastically over the years. There was a time when Team building events were well funded and organized by Event Organizers and a grand gala with food. Nowadays, various cost effective ways are utilized - such as Quiz or ice breaking events via video conferencing (for remote teams), activities at work place such as Treasure hunting or other fun activities to relieve stress and improve rapport with other colleagues. We can get technical here and refer to the Tuckman Model-Forming Storming Norming and Performing, with Adjournment or Mourning added later. These are the stages your team will go through in some degree.
I like to use process mapping with the project goal being used as the end result. How do we get there? What tasks are needed to be successful? This is an informal process mapping, and it helps the team form and gather ideas on how to approach the work and project.
Once a general consensus is made, then the process map can be formalized and referred to as the project progresses. Saving Changes...

You got a lot of good answers already. Just an addition: don't limit team building to go out for a beer, think of activities that make team members act like a team outside their working environment. Options are countless, either on-site or off-site (not necesarily requiring cash out). Saving Changes...

My recommendation is: do not forget that team building has an objective and has to be carefully planned. Most of the times I saw to perform team buildings activities by playing a game but becuase people were in the incorrect team it becomes "a war". Saving Changes...
