Does anyone have any recommendations for tools to track program financial details? We use CA Clarity but our setup doesn't allow me to enter SOW's and track against monthly spends. Trying to find something easier to use and report out of than just a spreadsheet. Saving Changes...
Unless your procurement system supports that type of financial tracking, most of the clients I've worked with would just have MS Excel workbooks of varying levels of complexity for tracking such info.
It's a shame that CA PPM (i.e. Clarity) hasn't been configured to support the financial monitoring & control done at the project level - this is one of the ways in which the enterprise "book of record" is perceived as being low value by teams, and can also get out-of-sync with the real numbers.
We're using a version of SAP, but still way too many spreadsheets being used, although there is now a concerted effort to push everyone into entering all finance related data into SAP, at least within our "group", but the department at large I believe is still not utilizing SAP. Saving Changes...
