Kenya is just getting our first high capacity internet gateway from the undersea fiber opitic cable. This will move our country to the next level and present us with many opportunities. My organisation is putting in place the the infrastructure to shift from VSAT based internet to fiber based internet. This requires that we lay fiber cable to connect our building(in 2 different citis) with the ISP fiber network. I'm new to IT project management and would appreciate any tips on how to manage the process w.r.t the hardware, network and finally software/application layer components of this project.
