Hello,

I know CPI is one of the key metric used to evaluate PM.

I believe a 360 degrees feedback considering the below factors would be good way to start:

1. Client - On Project Expectations vs. End Result
2. Colleagues - Their view on the project and how they rate the success.
3. Subordinates: How helpful was the Project Manager in helping them achieve their goals.
4. Management: How successfully Project manager balanced the project deliverables to the constraints of Cost, People and Schedule.

Specific Metrics can be formulated or defined based on above and then weight age assigned to them depending on the business environment.

Hi,

If you consider the tool, you may/may not evaluate properly.

Yes There is a tool called 9-Box grid.

But you have to consider some below points as well

- How the project is critical and how it handled
- Survey the client satisfaction
- Survey the Employee satisfaction to that manager
- Check the SPI/CPI?
- How the manager participate to the improvement of the Organization? etc..

Thanks gentleman.

But I was looking for specific template not advice. Additionally, if you want a broader audience group to benefit from your feedback, then I recommend not to use abbrevations...(especially without definition)

The Association for Project Management (APM) publish a competency framework which is a really thorough way of evaluating a PM's competence (rather than the proejct) www.apm.org.uk

Link text for parallel project training APMP and PRINCE2 training online e-learning, podcasts and in the classroom
