Taking on new position for company where I'll be leading project to consolidate the brand's websites under one umbrella into hub structure. I'm curious if Agile or PMP (Waterfall) methodology would be best fit. There is no existing PM process in place and I'd like to work on a certification. Saving Changes...

Always best to understand which certification path will provide the most value to your current role, career path, etc.
Allow some time once in there to understand their needs, where they are, where they want to get to, pain points, northstar..... all that good stuff. With that provide som possible solutions to help them get there. It can be more traditional waterfall based or using Scrum. Really just depends. Certainly, there can be successes either way, though using Scrum may provide some of those successes sooner.
Congrats on the new role and good luck! Saving Changes...
