Massive change in the PMP exam affect the efforts?

Instead of the 1st July 2020, the date is changed to 1st January 2021, will it affect the people's efforts who were trying to get an exam before the massive change in the PMP exam.

For folks who were in the last few days or weeks, it will naturally reduce their studying efforts but the overall sense of urgency should hopefully not be reduced.

The risk of pushing back at a deadline, no matter how valid the reason, is the increased likelihood of Parkinson's Law/Student Syndrome...

The effect will be as positive as the candidates make it. Some might take this as an opportunity to study more, other might be reluctant.

PMI did all they can and now its the candidates part to plan accordingly.
