Anyone know where BCWS comes from in MS Project 2000?

Hi,

I was thinking that BCWS would come from scheduled hours times resource rates. However, I have saved the project baseline, I have resources (with rates) assigned to my tasks, I have an overall cost and schedule, but when I look at the earned value view, BCWS, BCWP are showing up as zero. I do get values for ACWP - but my CVs are off. Any ideas what is happening here? Thanks for any help.

I have been facing similar problem. I am using MS Project 98.

First make sure that the task is not 100% complete say it is only 50%. Than go to TABLE, MORE TABLES, EARNED VALUE. You would able to see something like this:
BCWS 10,000
BCWP 5000
ACWP 6000
CV 1000
SC 5000

Do, or else do not. There is no 'try'.
