76 years ago on June 6, 1944 Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy. The Operation’s codename was Overlord. In the military terms D-Day is the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. This day became the beginning of the end of World War II and the attack became known as D-Day.
Both of my grandfathers fought the Nazis.
We salute all who served and lost their lives so that we can have a better one.
