Has anyone recently (last 2 months) received the hard printed copy of the PMP certificate after passing the exam?
I got certified in April 2020 but haven't received the hard copy of the certificate yet. Have tried reaching out to PMI customer care but haven't received a response yet.

Thank you Ruwangi. Yes, when I spoke to customer care they mentioned due to the pandemic the hard copy of all the certificates will get delayed (until they resume office).

Hi all, same experience here. I had to be persistent to get a response from customer service. Their response was that the pandemic is preventing them from printing certificates and mailing them. I for one dont accept that. We worked hard to earn these certs and an organization like PMI should be making an effort to get those out. The pandemic shouldn't still be impeding PMIs ability to print and mail certs. Saving Changes...

Agree. The hardcopy is a very strong proof of the accreditation. Pandemic is just an excuse of not doing something appropriate. And for the past years the issue of hard copy certificate has not been discontinued. Saving Changes...
I got certified in May 2020. I waited and sent a message to customer service, they blamed pandemic for missing out on sending a hard copy.
I sent a message today, one year after my certification and now i got another excuse that PMI has stopped printing and sending hard copies.
“ In an effort to modernize and support our commitment to the UNGC’s Sustainable Development Goals, we will no longer provide hard copies of PMP® Certifications. All candidates who pass the PMP exam receive a digital badge through Credly, which can be shared on social media and verified by employers. This digital badge both protects the integrity of your certification and reduces your carbon footprint.
If you wish to have your certification printed, please log in to your PMI account, navigate to your myPMI Dashboard and click on 'View Certificate' to download a printable PDF copy of your certificate. ”
I honestly dont believe this and they are just cutting corners. Hundreds and thousands spent on training, certification and membership only to get a run around.

Manpreet I totally agree with your point.
Unfortunately, I got a response from them initially saying – "Would like to inform you that due to covid situation we are unable to provide hard copy of certificate to all credential holders, you can download digital copy of certificate from the dashboard, further your cooperation is appreciated."
However, with further communication, they came up with another excuse – "In an effort to modernize and support our commitment to the UNGC’s Sustainable Development Goals, we will no longer provide hard copies of PMP® Certifications."
It was really surprising to get contradictory responses from PMI and that too within a couple of hours distance.
To be frank, after spending so many hours, money and effort, if they suggest us to settle with a filthy A4 sheet printout as a token of achievement, which is a sheer disappointment. At least I didn't expect this for a prestigious organization like PMI.
I did a couple of certifications recently from some prestigious global certification bodies, and few of them moved to digitalization and yet maintained hard copy as an option.
I understand this may be a good initiative to go digital. However, the PMI should provide us an option for a hard copy. It is extremely disappointing.

Yes this is unacceptable. First they blame the pandemic for not being able to print and mail. Not sure I understand that at all. Now its to reduce their environmental footprint? Really PMI?
I also heard before, PMI use to send metal collar PIN also with Certificate...:)

That is correct, Farooq. I received my PMP in 2000 and benefited from receiving the original PMP lapel pin as well as a second one when PMI updated the logo for the credential. I used to wear those pins with pride at Chapter events back when the number of PMPs was measured in the low hundreds of thousands rather than the low millions!
