Dear Friends,
Other than creating new PMP documents from scratch (change management form, lessons learned register, WBS, general documents and forms etc.), is there a method/package/system/process that you would recommend to have the basics of the PMP approach to managing a project? Seems a cumbersome task of juggling all of these forms/documents and trying to understand a more efficient method and tool for establishing and managing the project. Thanks in advance! ... and can or should this all be done with a specific PMIS tool? Saving Changes...
Start by defining a set of flexible, scalable practices for your projects and then look for a tool or system to help support it. Start as lightweight as you can - it is always easier to add something later, but much harder to take something away if you have over-engineered it. And make sure you get practitioners involved in the design of the tools so they are part of the change and don't feel it was imposed on them.
