I am a doctoral student in a business administration program. I am approaching the time where I will begin my dissertation. I am looking for topics to research and write a dissertation, any suggestions? Presently, I am looking in the direction of Servant Leadership, Emotional Intelligence in the Project Management world, but will consider other topics. Saving Changes...

Servant Leadership and Emotional Intelligence are great topics. One more suggestion would be Artificial Intelligence and how it will affect Project Management.
Good Luck.

Reach back to what's the closest to your heart and you think has the biggest gap. As my professor says, the topic should not be mile-wide and a foot deep. It should be the reverse. I think that I found a gap wide enough for 120-pages research paper.
Servant Leadership or EI has thousands of researchers looking at the unique perspectives on these topics. I think that EI is a bit over-written. I am writing on project management methodologies from my experience (yeah, I know... boring...)

Thank you for your reply, it means a lot to me. On a separate note, do you work with W.Chan Kim and or Renee Mauborgne? I bought their book in support of one of my classes in my DBA program.

Some ideas that come to mind are new and improved disruptors like Intelligent Process Automation (Advanced OCR, Workflow Orchestration, Cognitive Automation and Bot Analytics), or the Project Economy during covid.

It may involve AI and gaming.
Another aspect is the research objects you may have access to. Saving Changes...
