I just heard from a colleague that the release of the 7th ed. is moving out to 2022 or 2023. Has anyone else heard this and do you have details? I know there was a lot of pushback on the direction the 7th ed was taking, so was that pushback successful?

What was available for revision was not the PMBOK. It was the Standard for Project Management.
Sergio...Thanks for clarifying.

No problem. Is just to clarify because both are different things. As I posted and as I have said to the PMI is really sad they decide not to publish a draft. I was part of the reviewers of the published standard but the BOK is a different thing and it is critical to be reviewed by the community mainly because in the initial versions of the BOK it was software product oriented. I hope it has been change in the new versions.

Hi everyone! We will be closing this thread, as the question was answered by Marvin Nelson, from the Standards team.

As Marvin stated, the Standards team is anticipating the release of the PMBOK(R) Guide - Seventh Edition in early 2021. For continuing updates, you can follow along by visiting www.pmi.org/standards-projects.

Thank you!
